How Coexistence Works on Flovoo

With Coexistence, you use the WhatsApp Business app and Flovoo together on the same number. Messages you send from the app appear in Flovoo as phone messages for visibility only and don’t trigger any automation. After connecting, some app features, such as broadcast lists, groups, and calls, stop working because of WhatsApp Business Platform limits.

WhatsApp Business Platform with App Access (Coexistence) lets you use the WhatsApp Business app alongside Flovoo at the same time. This way, your team manages conversations from one place, and you keep using the app on your phone.

What Are Phone Messages?

Phone messages are messages sent directly from the WhatsApp Business app that appear in Flovoo so your team can follow them.

They keep every team member aware of conversations that happen outside Flovoo.

How Do Phone Messages Appear?

  • Messages sent from the app appear in Flovoo automatically.
  • The sender is labeled Phone message.
  • The messages are shown for visibility only and don’t trigger any action or automation in Flovoo.

What Happens to the Conversation?

  • If the conversation already exists in Flovoo, phone messages appear inside it.
  • If no conversation exists, a contact and conversation may be created, but it won’t be active, and you may not be able to reply from Flovoo until the customer sends a message.

When Are Phone Messages Useful?

Phone messages are useful in the following cases:

  • When you reply to customers directly from the WhatsApp Business app.
  • When conversations happen outside Flovoo and need to be followed.
  • When you need full visibility of all interactions between the app and Flovoo.

Are messages sent from the WhatsApp Business app charged or counted toward messaging limits?
No. Messages sent from the app are free and don’t count toward messaging limits. Only messages sent through the API are counted.
What happens when someone sends a message from the WhatsApp Business app?
It appears in Flovoo as a phone message, and it doesn’t open a service window or trigger any automation.
Why don’t messages sent from linked devices, such as WhatsApp Web, appear in Flovoo?
Some messages may not appear because of sync limitations, as some linked devices don’t send all events to the platform.
How many devices can I link?
You can link up to 4 companion devices, and some devices, such as WhatsApp for Windows or WearOS, aren’t supported. For the best experience, disconnect linked devices and rely on the primary phone or Flovoo.
Why were my linked devices disconnected after connecting WhatsApp to Flovoo?
WhatsApp automatically disconnects linked devices during setup to reset the connection. Wait up to 24 hours for the sync to complete, then re-link your devices.
